Step 3: Congratulations!
You completed Indoor or Outdoor Reactive Class!
We are so excited to welcome you to join us in any of the following options below, depending on your goals!
Completing your initial reactive training step is a significant milestone in your journey. From here, it’s all about continuing your dog’s journey based on what your personal goals are together.
Loving and living with a reactive dog is an ongoing process, and we’re here to help you continue building on your success- whether that means through additional skill building, practice, or just plain FUN!
Let’s explore the various support options available to you and help you choose the best fit for your dog’s needs.
Practice Sessions: Mastering Real-World Skills
What Are Practice Sessions? Practice sessions are 45-minute supervised training opportunities where you can work with your dog around other reactive dogs, with people practicing just like you are- in a controlled environment. Think of these as “real-world training with a world of safety nets and experts by your side.”
Perfect For:
- Dogs who have completed Indoor or Outdoor Reactive classes
- Teams ready to work at closer distances to triggers
- Dogs who need help generalizing their skills
- Handlers wanting to build their confidence
- Dogs working toward specific goals like passing other dogs on trails or in closer quarters
Session Structure:
- Maximum of 3-4 dogs per session
- Various distance options available
- Controlled exposures to common triggers
- Professional guidance and feedback
- Focus on specific challenges you’re facing
When to Choose Practice Sessions:
- You’re seeing progress but want to maintain momentum
- You have specific situations you want to work on
- You’re ready to decrease working distance with triggers
- You want to proof behaviors in different environments
Reactive Enrichment Club: Building Confidence Through Fun
What is Reactive Enrichment Club? This unique program combines confidence-building activities with controlled exposure work. Dogs get to explore obstacle courses, work on puzzle games, and engage in scent work while maintaining awareness of other dogs at a comfortable distance. The best part? It allows you to let go of all that focus on behavior and focus more on just having fun and connecting with your dog through play, enrichment, and games.
Perfect For:
- Dogs who need confidence building
- Reactive dogs who love to learn new things
- Dogs who benefit from mental enrichment
- Dogs looking for healthy ways to practice natural behaviors, like chewing and destroying
- Teams looking to maintain skills while having fun
- People hoping to try something that is very low pressure
- Dogs who need breaks between more intense training
Program Details:
- Small group setting (maximum 3 dogs)
- Individual working stations
- Combination of physical and mental exercises
- Focus on positive experiences
- Strategic use of barriers and distance
When to Choose Enrichment Club:
- Your dog enjoys learning but needs space from others
- You want to maintain training progress in a fun way
- You like the option to have physical barriers while still getting to practice around other dogs
