At K9 Turbo Training, we believe that creating a comfortable, inclusive environment is essential for both our clients and their dogs. Just as we help you understand your dog’s unique needs and behaviors, we want to help you get to know our team members and how to address them respectfully as individuals.

Understanding They/Them Pronouns

You might be wondering how to use they/them pronouns when referring to your trainer. Here are some helpful examples:

Correct usage:

“They showed me how to properly hold the leash.”

“I learned so much during our training session with them.”

“I’ll ask them about my dog’s progress next week.”

Just as you would say “they left their keys” when referring to an unknown person, you can use the same structure when referring to someone who uses they/them pronouns.

Why This Matters to Us

Two happy dogs lay next to each other on the grassAt K9 Turbo Training, we understand that effective dog training requires trust, openness, and comfort between trainer and client. We want our clients to feel confident asking questions about training techniques, and we want our team members to feel valued and respected for who they are.

Creating an inclusive environment isn’t just about pronouns – it’s about fostering a space where everyone can focus on what matters most: helping you and your dog build a stronger relationship.

Questions? We’re Here to Help

We understand that using different pronouns might be new for some people, and that’s okay! We appreciate your effort to address our team members correctly, and we’re happy to answer any questions you might have. Making mistakes is natural – what matters is the willingness to learn and show respect towards the people we love and show up every day for you and your dogs.

Moving Forward Together

As you begin your training journey with us, we look forward to focusing on what brings us all together: our love for dogs and our commitment to helping them thrive. Your trainer will be fully focused on providing you and your dog with the best possible training experience.
