Twin dogs look excited up during dog training at K9 Turbo Training. How Does Day Training Work?

You’ll start with a personalized 20-minute consultation call with your trainer. We’ll discuss your dog’s specific triggers, whether they get overexcited seeing other dogs on walks, bark at passing bikes, or freeze when hearing certain noises. Together, we’ll establish clear training goals and ensure this program matches your dog’s needs.

Your trainer will then work with your dog in 45-minute sessions in your home and neighborhood, and do not require your active participation in the moment. These controlled, one-on-one sessions allow us to:

  • Work at your dog’s comfort level
  • Practice in familiar environments
  • Address specific triggers safely
  • Build confidence step by step
  • Create positive associations
  • Develop reliable coping skills

Staying Connected with Your Dog’s Progress

While your dog works one-on-one with the trainer, you’ll receive detailed updates after each session including:

  • A summary of what was worked on
  • Photos or videos of your dog’s training
  • Specific achievements and breakthroughs
  • Practical management tips
  • Plans for the next session

This ensures you can maintain progress between sessions and stay fully involved in your dog’s training journey.

Setting Your Dog Up for Success

For the best results, we recommend:

  • Two sessions per week for consistent progress
  • Following through with management strategies between sessions
  • Maintaining open communication with your trainer
  • Letting us know about any changes in your dog’s routine or behavior

The first step is scheduling a consultation call where we’ll discuss your dog’s specific needs and determine if our program is the right fit.
